    Tom and Beth both worked for Fortune 500 companies before launching Monster Tree Service of Greenville County in 2019 to pursue their shared passion for outdoor work, community impact, and building a business rooted in family and friendships. Through their servant leadership, the Greenville team serves the community with integrity and arboricultural excellence, earning recognition at the local, national, and international levels.

    Arborist Consultant

    Originally from Pennsylvania, Ronnie has proudly served the Upstate South Carolina community as a respected and highly skilled climbing arborist for more than 25 years. His career includes extensive experience with the City of Greenville, where he developed a strong foundation in municipal tree management, urban forestry practices, and large-scale public projects.

    A passionate Plant Health Care specialist, Ronnie is widely recognized for his depth of knowledge in tree risk assessment, tree preservation, and complex hazardous removals. His work is guided by a strong commitment to safety, science-based decision-making, and long-term tree health.

    Deeply rooted in arboricultural culture, he remains dedicated to continual growth and advancement within the industry. This commitment drives him to stay current with evolving tools, technology, and best practices—ensuring his approach never stagnates and consistently reflects informed, innovative, and standards-based tree care.

    Beyond the canopy, Ronnie is a devoted husband and father, with a daughter in college and seven rescued dogs at home. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and sharing good food with family and friends.

    Michael, originally from Maryland, holds a degree in Urban Forestry from Clemson University and previously competed in collegiate lacrosse at the College of Southern Maryland. His athletic background reflects the same teamwork, discipline, and perseverance he brings to his professional life.

    As a dedicated and trusted leader, Michael blends deep arboricultural expertise with genuine care for both his team and his clients. In his role overseeing field operations, he ensures every project is thoughtfully planned and executed safely, meets or exceeds industry standards, and delivers an exceptional client experience. Known for his kindness, loyalty, and integrity, Michael can always be counted on to honor his commitments with professionalism and passion, and he stays actively engaged in continuing education to keep his knowledge current.

    Outside of work, Michael is a devoted husband and father of two young children. He and his wife enjoy attending local events and spending quality time together as a family throughout the Upstate.

    Tommy is originally from Illinois, and a registered TCIA (Tree Care Industry Association) Climbing Instructor.  Tommy is an intensely disciplined and respected leader in the Arboricultural industry with an incredible passion for sharpening his preverbal ‘saw’ and sharing his knowledge.  As an Arborist, and a friend, he is a loyal mentor with exceptionally high and uncompromising standards for helping others achieve excellence.  To remain safe and competitive in climbing, Tommy trains in his off time to stay in top physical condition.  Tommy enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and exploring mountain and coastal towns with his German Shepard.

    Kai is a U.S. Army Veteran who served as a Sergeant and Infantry Team Leader, responsible for leading a five-member team and managing over $4 million in equipment. A two-time Army Achievement Medal recipient, Kai exemplifies dedication, discipline, and leadership in everything he does.

    We are deeply grateful for his service to our great country and for the leadership qualities he brings to our organization. Since joining Monster Tree Service, Kai’s drive for excellence has been clear. He’s smart, safety-focused, hardworking, and dependable—yet also humble, kind, and deeply committed to his team. A devoted father to his daughter, Kai cherishes the time they spend together and enjoys staying active through his love of dirt biking and a consistent fitness routine.

    Kai truly embodies the servant leadership culture that defines Monster Tree Service and can be counted on through thick and thin.

    Darby

    Climber

    Darby, originally from Wisconsin, holds an Associate in Applied Science degree in Forest Management Technology from Haywood Community College in Clyde, North Carolina. He has been immersed in the worlds of arboriculture and forestry since the age of four and brings that lifelong passion to his work every day.

    In 2021, Darby earned national recognition as the Stihl U-25 United States Timbersports Champion. He is an active member of the Society of American Foresters and holds five National Wildfire Coordinating Group certifications, reflecting his broad expertise in forest and fire management. Over the course of his career, he has served in roles ranging from Consulting Forester to County Arborist, building a deep, well-rounded understanding of tree and forest management.

    Darby’s love for working among trees is matched only by his devotion to his wife and daughter and by the camaraderie he shares with his teammates.
